I've never been able to hit a draw and I can probably count one one hand how many hooks I've ever hit.

Now I'm hitting my irons pretty much straight I've now got a a nasty hook/pull with my driver

Well cheers for sending it down to me matey. I can't slice a ball and only hit hooks and blocks as my stock bad shots but today was slice city. Bit of a shock. Started with my 2nd to the par five 5th which went thirty yards right into the deep stuff and was lucky enough to be sitting up and visible and continued on every drive and second from there.

Look on the bright side Homer - you visited parts of the course you've never seen before...:D:D

I had a howler yesterday. Massive slice worse than ever has come to haunt me. One started down left side of fairway and ended up in the river to the right. That took 50 yards of movement left to right! Head wind didn't help.

If your shots are starting left and finsihing right this must be what you're doing

Your swing is out to in and your clubface pointing to the right at impact.

Mine used to start straight then go right rich was caused by my open club face because I didn't release it according to my pro.

But now I've fixed that and my iron shots and woods are much straighter I've now got a nasty hook and pull with my driver. I don't feel as though I do anything different but any ideas as why it's happening?

I've got a lesson in a weeks time but I'm playing slaley hall on Friday and from what I've heard you need to hit it pretty straight

Even tried going cross country at one point. Not sure if you remember the 7th (long par 4 with the ditch in the landing area - big trees to the right). Sliced it again and opted to try and go over all the ferns and bracken in the right rough, over the 8th green and land it on the short grass between the green and tee (its a short par 3 for those who don't know it. Got it over everything but needed more club. Landed in a bunker greenside on the 8th and plugged for good measure. Another double and no reward for a bit of creative thinking
