(apologies for geek speak if anyone doesnt know what the hell I am on about)

Just fired up the pc for a bit of gaming.... can't be bothered with anything. Updated steam and nowt I fancied, loaded up GTA liberty city, turned off after 2 mins, thought I may have a game of cs:s and same

Updated origin and fired up battlefield 3... again bored after 5 mins.

loaded up Footy manager and exactly the same.

I miss the old days of clans and playing cs, race nights on GTR on ventrillo etc

I guess age has caught up with me at 40 :(

gutted but I suppose its just a natural progression towards being a miserable old git!

I now have a kick ass quad core pc, 8gb ram, twin gfx and 24" 1080p monitor.... for browsing the web :D

I used to love playing MS Golf and then Links online, but gaming as such has never floated my boat.

I can understand the appeal though.

I know what you mean Gibbo, I dont PC game but have PS3 and 360, I go through stages where I really get into something, then I cant be arsed for months, its time consuming - and we all know golf take a lot of that up.

Yeh I miss the good old clan days, the height of CSS gaming has passed. I do miss being in a clan playing regular ED matches, Clanbase was never as good IMO.

I still enjoy PC gaming, currently playing a lot of Civ 5 and soon to play some more GTA4 stories as I have completed the main game and its story lines, fed up of hunting pigeons and looking for that 1 stunt jump I have missed.

I do love going on CSS, mostly play gun games now with the odd bit of office or zombie mod.

I would be playing FM2012 if they had not TOTALLY screwed up custom country databases in December and now I cannot get the database I spent a month making work again and I cannot be bothered to build it from scratch yet.

I do dabble in other games, if anyone is on steam feel free to add me, my name is the modern name for a niblick with an _ between the two words.

I have actually been enjoying the ps3 lately, rented the Uncharted games from lovefilm and on the 3rd at the mo. Mostly watching my daughter and jumping in on the hard bits ;)

Do miss a bit of Fifa but the new umtimate team money making crap has ruined it.

I just think there is too much choice, too many updates/new versions.

Ahh well, time moves on I guess.

Not been impressed with that much recently (Xbox) except Mass Effect 3. Just picked up the new Ghost Recon game and am loving that. Bit of stealth and tactics to my shooting.

Sorry SB - which language are you conversing in here....?

I just think there is too much choice, too many updates/new versions.

That ruined one of my favourite games, IL2 Stumovik. I used to play that game for HOURS, I had all the official updates and at one point everyone was playing the "latest version, 4.09 or 4.10, I cannot remember...

Then along came a couple of different community made updates, what was once a 10 strong band of frequent flying pals separated as some preferred one community update, some liked another and some stayed loyal to the official version. Perfect evenings flying COOP missions with each other, working as a team to achieve objectives and chatting over Ventrilo, they all came to an end.

Sometimes progress is good, when progress has flaws and equivalent alternatives, fragmentation occurs...

yup, give me vanilla cs or cod anyday :)

I actually think its as much about community as the games themselves. Back in the day when I was senior ed admin for CoD it was great. feels like an eternity but probably only about 5/6 years lol

Never understood the appeal myself...

Give me a crossword or sudoko puzzle to solve and I'm more than happy ...

It'll come to all you young 'uns eventually... Something to look forward to ;):D...

wolfenstein, wolfenstein... f'ing game.

A bloke I gamed with nicked my missus whilst I was at work, long story lets just say he was lucky he lived in NI!!!!!!
