Imurg, my understanding is that the race stewards have ruled the diffusers as legal.

But the some teams have raised an appeal against that decision to the FIA.

i too am a big f1 fan, however the point which annoys me is the fact that the next race is nearly upon us and they are still arguing about the last one. i hope the rest of the races dont end up like this

So because the big teams haven't got their way they want to appeal? Can't they just change their diffusers so that they are the same, seeing as they have just been ruled legal?

It would be so much easier if they made checks on cars at the end and disqualified every driver who breeched the rules during the race or after car checked over and found in breech. They should have enough experienced people to make decisions about driver activity during races before the end of the race and it should be final. All this rubbish that goes on and on even through courts is pathetic.

The only joke is the Mclaren team they did'nt even know the rules.

ChrisMc: Is that you showing how naieve you are, so do all the tv companies around the world hold their tv schedules while all the telemetary, tv footage, interviews of people involved, is collated then it is deliberated upon and then the result given. Of course it can't happen, minor incidents can and are dealt with during the race and after as this was but Lewis withheld info which changed the outcome.

I'm not being naieve at all, I know it wont happen, but that makes it so farcical and the fact that a lot of former F1 fans are getting tired of the sport.

Its hardly rocket science to do away with Fuel stops/strategy, easy to introduce, and would immediately make it a lot more interesting at least.

I have seen more entertainment from Moto GP in the last 2yrs than I have seen from F1 in the last 10.

Case in point:

A total JOKE in my eye's. I wouldn't go to the back door to watch. From what I hear from reports the people who run F1 don't like Hamilton.

Imagine if the Golf lord's didn't like Tiger?

Agree with the OP. F1 is a joke! What a f****** robbery! Imagine waiting till Thursday to find out who won a golf tournament that finished the previous Sunday? :D Never mind, Lewis. Long way to go. You can win it, lad. :D

As much as I love F1 (and I did get up early to watch the qualifying ;)) it saddens me to say that the likes of Hill, Clarke, Hunt & Senna must be laughing their cocks off right now....bless 'em.

THQH I think they'd be turning in their graves with horror, with what has become of their gentlmans sport that F1 used to be.

There is way too much Politics & burocracy now in F1, there always used to be a lot of rivalry & a certain amount of politics, but it was always good natured in its one-up-manship. As back then it was more about man & car verses the track & death, than who can get one over on a rival team or fit another team up.

I really do not like these naff sprint like multiple qualifying we have now. I know this series of mini trial time races ought to be good fun, but it really isn't.

Bring back the 2 days of trial times & use the best of the 2 days times as that which counts for the grid

*Simples* ...ticke

Lets have it all first past the post as counts. Really not a fan of the safety car principle. Waved flags during incidents with no overtaking should be the order of the day.

Lets get rid of cockpit radios, lets have some transparency for once. If something goes on a pit board its there for all to see.

Mind you if I had my way F1 would look like this again:

Imagine slick tyres on one of those... Green livery minimum sponsorship stickers F1 as its meant to be.

I think James Garner staring in Grand Prix is going in the Video machine later today :D

Even Golf has on occasion has suffered from incidents where results have had to be altered, but thankfully not to the degree we see now in F1. In golf its few & far between for controversy of this type.

If you're into that sort of thing. Goodwood Festival Of Speed is the place to be. Racing cars of all types, from all eras. You can get very close to them in the paddocks (between the front and rear wheels close!), and see them driving / racing up the hill. You can chat to the owners, drivers and mechanics. It's a motor sports fans wet dream! Motorbikes are also included.

I been a couple of times, and when my son is old enough to appreciate it, he'll also be going.
