External putter clip/caddy...

Anyone used one and found them of use or a load of rubbish and likely to lose your putter half way round the course??

My bag doesn't have a separate putter well which I thought would be ok as plenty of slots in the top but it does irritate me having my putter in the main section as it gets in the way (sits low and Odyssey Rossie so mallet-ish shaped)...

I've got two bags, one with and one without. I prefer the one with a separate putter holder, only issue I have is if I put the rain cover on then it's hard to get to. Other than that it works just fine.

My Cleveland bag has a putter ring but it's as much use as tits on a fish...!!!
