Has anyone ever gone on from here to achieve anything of note? I follow it a fair bit and have done for the last 5 years or so with a fair number of lads I know plying their trade here but as far as I can see no-one ever progresses they all seem to stay here or if they have a good year they go to Challenge Tour then are back the year after in Europro.

Hard school as you have to be top 5 to make any coin back so for anyone doing anything other than regular top 6 it must just be a drain on the pocket!

I know a guy locally who played on it a couple of years back but to no great degree and it cost him even at that level a good few quid that he was obviously out of pocket by.

I guess its a good proving ground for some of these real wannbees and can show them very quickly if they have what it takes. I guess the fact that no-one has really made the step up all the way (I'm sure there is one guy on tour now but I can't for the life think who - and he's the only one I vaguely remember) shows how different the gulf in class is between euro pro and challenge and from there up to the big boys.

One of the members at my club,Daniel Brooks plays on the tour, he's third in the money list(one win and one second palce) with two events to go. He qualified for the french open this year but narrowly missed the cut.
I've followed it closely since meeting him, he's often in the pro shop and is always happy to talk golf or go out for a round.

In golf?......nope......(somewhat obviously)

I know plenty of guys that tried their luck either trying to play professionaly or getting permanent fixtures on the amateur/national scene.
Shame really, just proves how hard it is.
