Feel like I'm in a pants place with my game, not found the middle of a club for 3 weeks including the putter. Any tips for escaping this monotony?

watch the golf in Abu Dhabi in the sunshine, watch golf online for tips etc swing a club in the garden with no ball but leave a club alone for 2 weeks, then go back to it with renewed vigour

Change something in your bag. I've always found it a good excuse to try something new, and it also makes me concentrate more if there's something new in my hands.

You know you're always welcome NWJ - just tell me when.
It'll be a laugh anyway. On sat I managed to be in a bunker next to our si1 in 2 (par 4) by thinning one off the hill. Playing out of the bunker away from any danger and managed to put the ball in the ditch 90* to my right - just about sums things up at the mo.
Hobbs - can't afford it at the moment - re phrased to she says I can't afford anything.
DV - Want to play just can't...

Have a lesson. After that you'll want to sell all your gear and take up something easier.

Like learning a Chinese dialect?

Splash, I'll give you a shout soon and we'll get something sorted. You'll still need to get a jaunt down to mine in aswell if this biblical rain ever f**ks off!

Several options. Hit the range and grind it out. Bit soul destroying unless you're Vijay or you know that the fault is and how to correct it. Accept you are playing badly and go out with no expectations other than to have a laugh, hit a few decent shots and not care what you shoot. Get a lesson and work ont he drills and realise you'll play poorly until the swing change beds in. Other than that there is always prayer, alcohol and giving up and trying fishing.

I'm sorry it isn't going well. Its a feeling I know well. Try and keep positive and hopefully it'll pick up soon
