As a lifelong Doncaster Rovers fan I am distressed to see that we have signed Diouf on a 3 month deal. Personally I would rather see us relegated now than see this odious individual in a Rovers shirt. Check out his rap sheet on the bbc website and he has even been done for spitting at 11 year old ball boys. I am a season ticket holder at Rovers but am considering boycotting whilst this scumbag is at my club. His talent is undoubted so why, at only 30, was he without a club? this should tell you everything. The Blackburn fans threatened boycotts when Sam Allardyce was going to bring him back and I personally think that we should do the same until he is shown the door. Wonder how long it will be before he gets sent off?

Fair play mate he has to be one of the most vile & hated footballers ever to don a shirt , an embarrasment to have at a club .. Who ever at your gaf thought this would be a good idea is nuts .. people are going to come on & say if he scores 10 goals ye will all be singing his praises , wont change what he is tho .. be intresting to see if club shop sells many jerseys because of this .. none id say

As a lifelong Millers fan I'd feel the same way as you do,I heard on the local radio that a certain agent Willie Mckay
is dealing with the transfers now for "Donny" ,can't stand the player anyway, and does'nt deserve a club

Not sure this is the case tbh.

Had to suffer him in a Rangers shirt for the second half of last season. He done absolutely nothing except get sent of at parkhead and throw his shirt to the crowd.

Looked slower that a 2 stone overweight James Beattie

Yes, sadly also one of our former players. I think every club should get together and ban him from football. Horrible person, and he's not very good either, and definitely not fast.

if we started a thread on players that are scumbags it would probably be a record beater - there are worse in the game than Diouf

I feel for you but you have to question the management. There is a rumour that Doncaster are signing players without clubs and paying minimal wages so that the players are put in the shop window, but I cannot see a queue forming for his signing as most feel the same about him. As a Bhafc fan I am glad he did not come anywhere near our club.

You're right Markw that is exactly what is happening, which I am not happy about either. As others have said I don't think people will be queing up to sign Diouf, they're just glad he's not soiling their shirt. Will be interesting to see what sort of reception he gets from the home fans tonight, and how long he manages to stay on the field.

Quote in paper here today says ye paying him 35k a week ? any truth in that ? not much minimal if thats the case , not too many boys in your place on that id say ?

Clubs will find the money somehow.
But i feel your over reacting.
Many clubs have bought players, and managers in that the supporters seem to hate.
Alex Mcleish is an example this year, however fans are so fickle and its results that count.
Of course he has had disagreements at all his clubs, and seems to be disliked, but like most supporters
when he scores they will all be jumping for joy.

Its not uncommon for ex premiership players to end up in the lower leagues for the twilight of their careers,
Often they can still shine as their experience shows through.

Take Cyrille Regis at Wycombe a few years ago, Great player, Great professional, Nice Guy, Did great things for the club.

I cant see "Diouf bag" doing anything to benefit Doncaster at all
Waste of rations if you ask me
