No I'm not a member at Channels, I usually just turn up and play on the Belsteads course. Used to play Regiment Way quite a lot but prefer the Belsteads.

Belsteads is better looked after than ours I agree and the holes are more interesting.

Ah yes, Bawburgh the course that's somehow managed to get every hill in Norfolk incorporated into it. I was absolutely pooped after playing there.
 
im from Kings Lynn, play middleton hall and if there was ever a space come up I may well be interested.
 
I expect you're all too cowardly to play against a hand picked team from Surrey/Sussex/Kent.

I think i suit the title 'Surrey gent'. Mind you whilst living in Surrey i do play in Hampshire, which probably puts me back in the peasant category. :( :( :( :(
 
It's a good course with a reasonable challenge. It goes up and down a bit more than the Essex, so you cannot rely on having a flat lie. The condition of the course is more dependent on the weather as the drainage isn't as good as at the Essex, so we tend to de-camp there in the winter months as some of the holes at Benton can get waterlogged.

It is a shorter course than the Essex, but I think individual holes have more challenge, because of the hazards and the topography. Happy to show you round - I only play during the week due to family commitments at weekends.
 
I'm in Cambridge or there abouts, that classes as East Anglia I think.

I used to live in Bishops Stortford and was a member down at the Bishops Stortford course (though I was only 13/14 and they scared me so I never played there - would love to show them my skills now!)

Manor of Groves is supposed to be a nice course if you thought around the Hertfordshire area...
 
If we're looking for a few possible venues, Thetford GC is somewhere I've always wanted to play. Spoken with quite a few people who've played there and heard nothing but glowing reviews of the course

Thats a nice offer mate. I have a friend who has offered to show me around as hes a member of the gym etc there. The course sounds a bit like Colne Valley Golf club
