As per the title, does anyone have any tips or ideas on how to stop an early release? specifically with the driver, it doesn't appear to be a problem with any other club, but is killing my game off the tee.
You can do all the lag drills in the world but they wont help you unless you have a perfect starting posture and everythings moving in sequence. That would be my first check.
Actual solution is pretty individual as it's normally a sequencing issue - even when caused by casting. And 'cure' also depends whether swing is 1-Plane or 2-Plane style.
Making sure the right elbow stays 'close' to the right hip is applicable to both styles though.
And keeping the right wrist bowed for as long as possible/practical should help too.
In theory you don't need to lag the driver as you shouldn't be hitting down on it like you do with an iron. Chances (oddly) are you might be overswinging and HAVING to dump the club a little in an effort to get rid and it's actually when you DONT that you hit a crap shot.
