Didn't know what an ear worm was until recently, thought it was some sort of disease

Apparently it is the phrase to describe a tune/song which you can't get out of your head and find yourself humming/whistling/singing (god forbid) all the time.

My personal favourite has to be Kylie Minogue - 'I just can't get you out of my head'. I find it particular distracting when accompanied by visual images of the singer, especially when putting on the golf course.

Anyone got any better ones?

:)

If I'm struggling to sleep at night it's usually because of an earworm.

Recently it was Suzi Quatro's, "She's in love with you", in particular the lines "treat her nice, treat her good, Treat her like you know you should" on continuous loop.

I don't even like the song!

With me, it tends to be the last song I hear..
I've been known to sit in the car for 5 minutes waiting for a song I detest to finish and another to come on as I know damn well that rubbish one will be there all day.

Currently being used in the trailer for "I, Tonya" hence I'm hearing it regularly & it's sticking for longer each time.

The last one to really get me was "I Don't Wanna Dance" by Eddy Grant. Was singing/whistling it for days. My wife nearly divorced me!

Billy Ocean - Red light spells danger!! It's on almost constant repeat in my head after putting it on a playlist a few weeks ago. I love the song, but it's getting painful now.

Islands in the Stream - Dolly & Kenny! Mother-in-law was listening to it earlier this week, looking forward to anything taking over from it.
