Dropping in a bush

So , following Amanda's post

Imagine he rhusband had decided to drop in the bush rather than damage his wedge

If after dropping, the ball gets stuck in the bush, what is the player entitled to do? The balls hasmt made contact with the ground

making contact with the ground is not relevant, the bush is a part of the course, and the requirement is that a ball first makes contact with a part of the course with parameters.

so the ball is in play (assuming the parameters were met) and nothing else would require a re-drop (other than the player!)

the player can play it or he can declare it unplayable...

So if it's one of those tightly manicured bushes (preferably spherical) you can deliberately drop it on the side of the bush (2 ish on a clock face) so that it bounces clear?
