but autumn has arrived here in the frozen tundra of Scotland. For the last week that autumn nip and smell in the air has been evident!

It seems to have hit early this year as its usually the end of September before this starts to kick in. Its now dark o'clock at 2000 hours, no more after work golf, maybe a quick six possibly nine holes.

The end of the season is fast approaching and the winter doubles sheet has been posted in the locker room!

Still on the brightside the countdown to Machrihanish March Madness 2012 trip is well and truly underway!!!

It's chuffing freezing over here and I have a good sign that autumn is on the way with all the wasps buzzing around the factory

Some bloke said to me that we are in for a dire winter......how the feck do folk know this??!!

I wouldn't care,he wasn't even wearing a flat cap,he is aged 31!!

We have a postie over here that reckons this year will be as bad as last year although he did predict last year really well :( :(

Radio Scotland the other day were also saying we were in for a worse winter than last year!

Knew there was a reason that I bought an X-Trail!

We were mumbling on about this last weekend. Previous years I have sat out on the patio til midnight, quaffing the old red, but this year, it has been pretty poor, with the wood burner on most nights.

Left to go to bear wood lakes last sunday, twelve degrees, it is flipping august. What is going on?

Jumpers? In august?

Pretty nippy on the practice ground tonight and hard to see them properly after about 7.30. Had a jumper on Monday morning first thing when I teed off at 8.00 and its definitely got a nip in the air waiting for the train. Might have to dig out the old under armour base layer soon!

Im off to the beach at Woolacombe tommorow with some family members.
We will all go for a swim.

Woolacombe Bay, used too holiday down there as a nipper, dad drove down during the night, stayed at the Woolacombe Bay Hotel, dont even know if its still open?

Had a nine hole pitch and putt plus swimming pool, squash courts etc. That surf used to try and suck you back out to sea, you could end up half a mile up the beach from where you entered.
