I am playing with an old TM putter and the modern equivalent seems to be the maranello. I like the idea of a milled face but wonder if these putters are worth the money. Any opinions welcomed.

The Kia Ma version is a bit expensive, but the stanard type are great value and the Rossa red inserts have a great feel and the newer AGSI ones are even better. I just sold my Rossa Maranello on ebay for £28 so you can pick them up cheaply too.

The TM putters with the AGSI face do give a solid feel and I have both an itsy spider and a daytona rossa. I think if you can pick one up cheap on e-bay you'll like it. Personally I don't like the maranello style but I'm sure you'll get on fine with it

Maranello is a nice shape, similar to the Odyssey 9 and the Cameron Del Mar 3.5.

I think it suits a bit of a inside-straight-inside putt rather than a straight back-straight through, so if that is you, give it a whirl.

I've used the Maranello, the Odyssey 9 and currently use the Cameron Del Mar 3.5. Of this list they get progressively better. You also get what you pay for; the Cameron Del Mar 3.5 is the best of this head type.
