If anyone tells you that you have broken a rule ask them to show you.

This ^^^^ Carry a rule book and when they tell you something like that, hand it to them and ask them to show you where. If they know it that well they won't have andy difficulty doing it………..

If i had a pound for every mythical golf rule .........

I was told only yesterday by a playing partner that he'd been penalised for moving leaves on the green for, apparently, " improving his line" whilst on the green!
