Disappointing deadline day

I think Adam may come back to haunt Liverpool and think Rogers is now going to have to come out fighting.

Happy with the signings we made. Oscar, Marin and Hazard are all very good signings for us and give us a very good attacking dimension. Still felt we really needed another top striker as Torres is incredibly hit and miss and Sturridge needs to get some games in. Still annoyed we didn't offload Malouda.

This is the same Charlie Adam who was kicking around the rangers reserves struggling to get a game for the 1st team, only a good 18months at Blackpool propelled him into the limelight.

Last season he was poor and I'm glad we've got rid of him to be honest, very slow and not good enough technically IMO.

I'm more worried the fact these owners haven't put their hands in their pockets to back their new appointment.

I neither like nor dislike Brendan Rodgers but I think he's been stitched up by fsg/nesv or any other guise they want to be known under.

To let your £35m signing leave on loan and not replace him is a disgrace.

Is it not that your lot are skint?? Things can't be pretty financially surely?

Also rans again this year,Liverpool are in real danger of becoming a bunch of historians.

Typical that Carroll had a stormer and we were third rate today. Dembele scores a great goal in debut for Spurs so all in all I'm pretty cheesed off. I think Jol has made some great signings so I'm hoping it was a blip today and we can gel and play our well to mid table security

Considering they've cut £25m off this years wage bill by letting players go etc, the new kit deal is worth £30m per year minimum aswell as all the other big sponsorship deals they've seemed to nail then surely they could afford to back their new man.

If Rodgers was aware that if Carroll goes and we can't replace him then I doubt he'd sanctioned it. These fella's appointed comolli to use the moneyball method and it back fired. These fellas were very happy (their words) with the Carroll deal but when it doesn't work out others get the bullet. JW Henry and co need to share some of the blame for the signings last season

We were also rans under Kenny allegedly so nothing new there.

Well as a Leicester fan im a bit indifferent! Looks like some good signings have been made at the last window and this, typical Pearson signings of young hungry players. Some of the Sven era have been moved on as in mills etc although a bit bemused by us letting peltier go to Leeds. He was not amazing last season but a solid performer I suppose but think Pearson had orders to cut the wage bill sanctioned under Sven that didn't work out. I think the Thais have now learnt that throwing money at it doesn't work! With such disparity in wages between players I think has caused friction. I must admit I was expecting to see a couple of exits on d day especially after the awful performance against burton but nothing happened except the strange goings on in the beckford saga. One side says financial the say that we pulled out at the 11th hour? No idea, must admit in no great fan of beckford but he definatley has talent, just seems to lack in attitude.

Podolski, podolski! Robin Van Who...Robin Van Traitor.

Cavalo?? Looks good in midfield, diaby is becoming a Veira clone and giroud is bricking it up front! Back four look solid. Just need Wiltshire in to replace arteta and that's that. That's football and a profitable business for you.

I know i havent seen as much as Adam playing as you guys but i thought when he was in team Liverpool had a good run later on and were knocking at door of champions leauge place, then he got injured at end of season and there results took a dip.

He wasn't as bad as some people have made out, but I think he is not the player who was fantastic for Blackpool. Joe Allen is twice the player, made up with him.

Terrible deadline day. Almost no drama at all!

PS. Rodgers looking every inch the overrated, deluded manager that got the boot from Reading.

As much as it pains me to say it your lot have made some great signings, just cox and sharp alone are cracking deals.

Feels nice to have some goal scorers again just hope we offload McGoldrick soon, he's terrible. I've been so impressed with Coxy so far. More than just a striker - really hard worker up and down the pitch. Looking forward to seeing what Sharp can do.

I think the Hutchinson loan deal from Chelsea was a belter as well. His goal at the weekend was incredible.

Before the season started, I'd have been happy with mid-table - I'm now looking towards automatic promotion! (but I'll take mid-table or sneaking a playoff place! considering how bad we were at the end of last year!!)

Well, Michael Own has signed for Stoke, pending Premier League approval on a £1.5M, 1 year deal.

That'll be interesting him being paired up with his old striker pal Peter Crouch!

Being an Arsenal supporter I've had to get used to [in recent times] seeing our better players go down the road... Don't blame Mr Wenger for this but the board... Shows a total lack of ambition for the club...

Arteta did well for us last season [not in the same class as Cesc though]... Early days yet but at least a couple of the new faces look promising... Don't think we'll be challenging for the title but top four should be in 'our' grasp...
