Digital Photos

So I have thousands of them. Sat down tonight to get them in order...

They are all on a NAS so read/write is not as fast as local, I have a gigabit connection but the drive speed is the limiting factor.

Well of course all the photos are not named in any logical fashion, sorting by date taken is time consuming and moving them into seperate folders per month seems very hard work.

Thankfully I came across this: http://namexif.windows10compatible.com/download

renames all my photos by their date taken value. So far working a treat!

Finally I can view all files in chronological order on apps that only sort by date taken!

This along with a duplicate photo finder has made this task super simple.

Handy. I have loads of photo's i need to go through at some stage... Like the ones people send you on whatsapp that get automatically downloaded and sync'd to the cloud....

Mine came from about 6 different phones and cameras, loads of (2)s and (3)s which made things impossible until I sat down with the duplicate finder and renamer.

Almost tempted to donate as these are very useful things!
