With all the talk of new clubs, especially drivers recently I saw these demo days advertised at AG at Bird Hills for anyone in the area.

Callaway
8/4 and 25/7 4.00-8.00

Mizuno 30/3 4.00-8.00

Ping 9/6 3.00-7.00

Taylormade 20/4 4.00-8.00

Wilson 25/4 11.00-3.00 and 9/7 4.00-8.00

Booking is advised but check out the AG website for full information

I don't know if you have a Direct Golf in your region, but at their driving range stores they offer a super demo day. Many of the top manufacturers (apart from Cobra for some reason) bring a representative and 3 or 4 bags of the latest demo clubs. Some bring the launch monitors and best of all it is free, even for the cost of the balls. It definitely beats paying £4 for a basket of balls, and the representatives are more than happy to throw in free tuition.

The only downside is that when in-store the staff at DG follow you like hawks - or maybe that's just how it is in Huddersfield....

I thought "every day is demo day AG" ?

Need to get my ass down to Mizunom, I need either a new 4 iron or rescue club, 23 degree?

Check out the website as some spots need pre-booking and there may be a charge (redeemable of any purchase). Have to say when I went to the TM day last year (it was free) they had their top of the range monitor there. What an eye opener compared with the stats I'd got less than 20 minutes earlier from the AG machine at the same place.

If anyone is interested I'll be at the TM day trying out the R9 and looking for a 3 wood

Dangerous for the old plastic.

For the first time ever at my track we are havingsome demo days. One of which is Titleist. Bad news for me. I hope I am in China for that one.

All the demo days worth going to at my AG are second week in May through to second week in June, the excact same time that my second son will be joining the family. (Dont think my good lady will be to pleased if I slop off for a few hours)

Just back from a Yonex demo, very quiet so lots of time to hit lots of balls off lots of clubs, theirs and mine.

the stats were interesting, max'd about 93 with the driver and ball speed around 133. one guy there was hung up over smash factor, reckoned you needed to get 1.5, I averaged 1.42. the Yonex guy reckoned the only way to improve that is 3 or 4 hours a day in the gym, that's a round a day - I'll stick with what I have.
I did manage a backspin of 8768 with an 8-iron!

I didn't go with the intention of actually buying anything but you know how it goes, plastic got dented.

the new nanospeed driver was giving me 20 - 30 yards over my r7 with less dispersion but the clubs I have most trouble with are my hybrid and 5-wood.
Can't afford both, and shouldn't have bought any, but I now have a shiny new Cyberstar 3-hybrid, which I was hitting as far and a lot straighter than the 5-w and at lot more consistently than my hybrid.
