Dead ish computer help please

Looks like my Packard Bell has all but died.
PACKARD BELL iMedia S 2870 Desktop PC
Turns on, the fan runs but no beep and nothing on screen.
Long story short, it got stuck during a system restore and in my efforts to fix it, I made it worse.
Its 2 years old so out of warranty so do I try and get it repaired or get a new one.

Have you tired a reboot from the BIOS. Usually by pressing the F1 key while the PC start will get you a menu to select how the machine boots.

If you have a set of backup disc for the machine you can boot from them.

If you have another PC you might try making a set of 'System' discs and try booting from them.

It might be worth removing all power sources, take out battery and take out the hard drive (usually on a couple of screws) then reassemble and switch on.

It turns out it was F2 ẃhich got me back in again.

And died again while installing Windows 10 :angry:

What are you upgrading to 10 from. I have heard of some people going from 7>10 and having major issues.

Providing your hardware is up to it it shouldn't be a problem and there are long periods when it appears nothing is happening. Start it off and go out and play golf.
