ALmost 12mths to the day I made a post about a schoolboy error I made which turned out well. It was our Club Champs on the Sunday but the forecast was for Noah & his ark to get ready so I accepted an invite for a heavy Saturday session on the Stella.

Cue weather forecast error, messy golfer on 1st tee etc but somehow 143 shots later I am giving a winner's acceptance speech.

Well club champs again 2morrow weather forecast is "dodgy" but changing by the minute. I also have been invited to a real ale & cider drinking festival today. The real deal with the ciders too, toenails, corns and everything in the bottom of the barrel. (Looking for a green smiley!)

Oh well, lets see if lightning really can strike twice!!
 
sounds like proper scrumpy - made in an open topped barrel in a barn, hay dust, pidgeon droppings, rust, the odd suicidal rodent - haven't had that in a long time
 
Woah, how can apples be so evil!!??

Is being sick on the 1st tee a one or two shot penalty? And does it then become a loose impediment?? :D

Oh well here goes nothing.
 
Managed not to blow chunks at any point, though I was probably the only person on the course hoping it would rain to wash away the hangover sweats!!

Managed to finish 2nd in the end, a triple and a double in the afternoon cost me dear. Ah well, only a year to go until I can have another crack........at that Cheddar Valley cider, lovely!! :D
 
Yeah, absolutely.

Being a little groggy probably helped in a way. Made some (for me) significant swing changes after having the shanks(as you know from The Addington :o) the other month.

Not sure I would have had the confidence to trust it as much if I had full control of my thought process!!
