just been watching the golf, one of the pro's took a 9 iron for a yardage of 130! ooo, makes me feel a bit better with my distances!!!

It really does not matter if you can hit the ball the same distance as a pro with the same club.
What matters is that you know your average distances with each club, so you can repeat those distances again and again.
so I dont care if you need a driver or a PW to hit 130 yards,Just make the shot.

yeah, happy with that, just surprised to see touring pros nowerdays hitting it like that. but to be fair, it was only really 3/4 swing. distances to me mean little to be honest! was just a bit surprised!
BUt what sort of shot was it? Guaranteed it wasn't a full out one and probably a little arm shot to take the spin off. At the end of the day it isn't about what you used its about what you scored
