yeah, i stopped using Coinbase for dealing, switched to GDAX for the trading element. Also using the maker approach rather than taker approach. So no longer paying the rip off fees to Coinbase.

Having said that, have turned to cash earlier thsi week.. The valuations are getting silly as we approach the magic $10K mark ... it should hit it today
 
@LondonLewis.. hope you made a bit of a packet yesterday once it breached the 10k mark. It was mental. Today has been just profit taking - down 16% in a day across most alts.
 
It always amazes me when people talk about crypto currencies like they have an inherent value. Have a listen to Warren Buffet talking about gold, and why he doesn't buy that (and hell gold at least can be used for real things). I'd use a crypto currency as a medium for exchange but never as an investment.

On another note you should be able transfer between EUR and GBP or USD for an almost insignificant amount, keep am eye on some of the fancy fx start ups, the spread is good if you are swapping a reasonable amount.

I agree... have a look at Revolut, you can get the interbank FX transfer rate and no fees... nothing comes closer. very good service too except if you want to speak to a human.

Re Crypto having value, i agree but disagree. True Bitcoin does not have the same 'value' piece, but then Bitcoin gives all cryptos a bad name. There are a few ones that are better and undervalued like Ether, IOTA, Dash etc coming up
 
What’s the most efficient way of buying different types of cryptos for minimal transaction fees? If I took plunge likely to sit on each one until Went up x10 then sell 10% to get initial investment back.

Probably looking to invest £500-1000

Probably something like Coinbase. 4 of the main crypto on there and very easy to use. Market is a bit toppy at the moment so would wait for the next short term correction - keep your eyes on news as there will be another one in the next few weeks and go from there.
 
Hey, Mudball. I'm mining bitcoin and I can say that you need to have a lot of knowledge and some money in order to make a profit. I've been doing this thing since 2017 and I can say that even in 2020 it's actual. If you will start mining too, I advise you to use special sites that are making anonymous transactions so you won't have any trouble with your privacy. You can find a lot of these sites on Google. Personally, I'm using this bitcoin mixer. I haven't ever had any problems with this site, so you can try using it.

I do apologize for reviving this topic just wanted to say that it depends on your trading abilities how much you can earn in crypto trading. For me, it's really dangerous to invest in cryptocurrency, and even though it can bring a higher profit you can also lose your money. I used to invest in shares. The risk is a little lower, especially when you use cfds trader help. I don't mean that this is the best trading platform, there are thousands of such platform, but I just wanted to emphasize that it's far safer to invest in shares as you can find more information about the market evolution.
