I love dogs, had a Boxer and a Bulldog.

but what the hell am I watching on telly. Sweet mother, a fat headed Bijon freeze has just won its class. It has a head the size of a space hopper. A rat has come fourth.

Ha ha ha - I said much the same. The dog that came 2nd did look like a dog though. Spent much of the morning watching the agility on You Tube...we can but aspire. David said Daisy was watching and thinking "they're doing it all wrong"

We've got a Bichon, but would never have that "big headed" show cut.... but my missus was glued to that last night and a big cheer went up when the Bichon won! Welsh winters mean that sort of grooming isn't practical!

Pedigree dogs have to have unique names and they often follow the names of a line, father or mother (I'm sure a proper pedigree person will know how it really works). That means they have a daft name on paper but they are actually never called it. As you have to make up a new name each time it is no wonder they become increasingly ridiculous. Our cocker spaniel has dragon somewhere in her name, every dog from that breeder does, but I genuinely can't remember what the full title is now.
