Played in it today. No par 10 alas due to the huge numbers of entries, mainly par 3's and 4's. 16 holes, 96 entrants played as teams of 3 in Texas Scramble. Utterly, utterly brilliant. I'd have enjoyed it more if my game was better but it really is a cracking way to play golf. It freshens the course up, creates a new challenge, encourages inventiveness in shot selection and shaping and is well worth recommending at your club. If anyone wants any more detail on ours drop me a PM and I'll send it through. Awesome!

Only downside is my pro has modified my grip recently and I'm still struggling to get use to it :( . Feels really alien and I'm thrashing a bit and that did put a little downer on a great day but I hope that I'm a better player next year so I can appreciate the fun even more! Wonderful golf format :D

Glad to hear it was fun mate! Certainly sounds entertaining. Reckon I'd be a natural :D

Good luck with the grip changes too! I remember going from a baseball grip to an interlocked grip last year. First few rounds were certainly interesting but when it clicked it made a massive difference :)
