Stumbled over this post after having a look around on this website who's link was put up in the Castle Stuart thread...


Not sure regarding the news snippet though seeing as the course was 1st played on in 1890 but without checking my history book maybe play started in 1890 but officialy opened in 1894.

The link is a bit dodgy, Dodger. Just takes you to a generic index page. Try typing ",39787.0/" at the end of the link in the address bar and you get there though. This site always does this for some reason.
