Courses around Liverpool

Hitting Liverpool in April next year with about 12 mates for an annual get together. We are playing Formby as our premier course but are still trying to find a second course to play on a Saturday. Reccommendations for £30 odd?

I don't know how much a round would be in April but I would highly recommend Huyton & Prescot the greens there are always awesome and they try to have them running at around 11 on the Stimpmeter. http://www.huytonandprescotgolf.co.uk/

Or there is http://www.grangeparkgolfclub.co.uk/ which is another good course that might fit the bill.

Formby Hall is worth a look and they have some great deals if your staying in that area.

If Formby is your main course, try Formby Ladies. It's situated inside the mens course, is a little short, but very tight, very picturesque and very good.
Check prices first, but obviously there are the 'Premier' courses of Hillside, Birkdale, S&A, Hesketh. Some good deals on Tee Time for Formby Hall (starting at £20) Around the £30 mark there is Huyton & Prescot, Childwall, West Derby, Grange Park, Eccleston Park, Blundells Hill

Do you know where your hotel will be (city centre, im guessing).

If so, our greens have been fantastic over the last 2 years, a very friendly golf course and probably around your price. Others to recommend based on approx £30 are:-

Childwall, Frodsham (about 15 miles away from city centre) but only £21 each if played on 2 for 1's.

Evan the Municipal Course in Southport worth a shout; along with Hesketh; S&A - if you can get in.
