Course shut!!

Bloody snow......not much has fallen here but it was enough to close the course.

Got to say I was very surprised as we have played in a lot worse over the years but hey ho.

Should have went to Eyemouth for a game but we didn't think of that until we were home!:mmm:

5 inches have fallen just 10 miles inland tho!

Time to move country.

Left our course about 4pm yesterday and all was looking good for the weekend. Woke up this morning to 2" of snow, so no golf this weekend.

Our place has frozen greens but is open on temps so I am giving it a by ball. For reference, Ballyliffin hasnt even seen a light frost and is open on all proper greens, business as usual.

my course closed again because of flooding and frost on tees,beginning to think its time to move to a course that invests in proper drainage and not just the greenkeeper running the heel of his boot over a wet bit.

A close golf playing friend of mine emmigrated to Australia 3 weeks ago today. I've always had the thought that I'd never leave England, but after hearing of the golf that he's been playing in that time I'm not so sure.

A very light dusting here which bas disappeared however its crunchy ice and waterlogged here. Fourth week in a row no golf for thecraw.

New Zealand police are recruiting, I could be tempted at this rate!

Temporary greens today due to frost. I still think it's rubbish about damaging the greens. They don't close the practice green, and that seems to survive fine.

greens still as good as 1 and 2. i was impressed with them

Closed today. Too wet and icy.
Starting to forget what my course looks like. To cap it all, my subscription renewal arrived yesterday. Not overkeen on paying it yet! :ears:
