It's been an interesting week off. Cars and Golf - neither going particularly well. I drove a few cars (I'm after a run-around pocket money car for fun) and t.b.h. unless I go and buy a Boxster, S2000 or 350Z, I'm not really going to gain anything over my existing car. I tried a Celica 2 days ago (miles away), thought it was good and smart looking, but more fun and/or faster than Puma, No.
Anyway, that's not my main downer; I'm fed up with my golf.
I had a lesson this morning and my swing is just terrible. All the work, all the effort and sweat, all pointless. There's one thing that's better but mostly it's the same old rubbish I've played with since picking up the clubs again in 2007/8.
The way I see it, I have 3 choices.
1) Quit. (could do, but I'd miss it)
2) Keep trying, investing time and money OR
3) Forget the swing, play and let my h'cap drift up game after game after bloomin £3 game until I've wasted £100 on entry money and made it up to 15 or 16.
I've blown the chances of getting a car with my pocket money now anyway, 'cause I just bought my wife and daughter some apple products.
Anyone got any advice?
Maybe a week on golf boot camp where I get tortured with a blunt 3 iron if I can't sort out my woeful swing and equivalent-to-an-80-year-old distance?
