Commentator's eye: the golf 'taste' test

Over the years there have been some interesting experiments with wine. In these tests individuals are asked to taste a range of wines and list them in order of preference without knowing the price. More often than not a cheap bottle of plonk finds its way towards the top of the pile. So this is the scenario...

You are practicing at a golf practice area. The local pro, who suffers from short term memory loss, is observing you as you move from working on your putting up to driving via bunkers, chipping, pitching, mid iron and long irons. Would he accurately guess your handicap for each discipline and if not would he think you were higher or lower (or in my case guess accurately or lower )

Putting - lower
Chipping - lower
Bunkers - accurate
Pitching - accurate
Mid irons - lower
Long irons - lower
Driving - accurate

My pro questioned why I was of 21 when he took me for lessons in various aspects of my game. Then we played 6 holes as a playing lesson and he found out the reason. He told me my course management is terrible. So for the OP. If a Pro watched my swing etc he'd guess lower.

For most categories I think he'd guess me about right but when I got in the bunker he'd think I'd never even seen sand before.

If he suffered short term memory loss and I ran trhough this twice with him my guess is that he would say something different each time (including some four letter words ) .

Inconsistent at best - erratic more accurate
