Any collectors on hear.

I have some very rare early Highland Stoneware pieces and a beautiful salmon platter I picked up at a car boot for £15.
My wife collects Poole- Barbara Linley-Adams brown stoneware animals. Some lovely rare pieces that are still quite valuable. Her collection started with a mouse I bought her as a peace offering for 'allowing' my [then] baby daughter to be bitten by a mouse!

Remember this is OOB so no golf stuff please!

Uncanny, at the very time you posted this I was helping my wife rearrange the display of her collection of commemorative 50p & £2 coins. Apparently one or two of the earlier (larger) 50p are becoming relatively scarce.

If it had been left to me I would probably have spent them all by now.

Cuban cigars - rare and limited editions. Although I find it difficult not to smoke most of them!

My wife collects shoes and dresses....I believe this qualifies as collecting as she never wears the flaming things even when she buys them for a night out.

It is scary what folk throw away.

Sport of Kings by Dick Francis [his first book] first editions used to sell for £4,000.

My best two sells were £90 for a small Lancaster slipware vase bought for 20p and the owl from the Winnie the Poo Doulton miniature set of 6, bought for 10p sold for £75.

As a kid I used to colect old bottles, still got quite a few of them, the really dark black glass ones were my favourite, even now I still buy the odd one on ebay.

In fact I buy far too many antiques (for antiques read "tat") on ebay.

Been selling off a lot of mine and hers 'collectibles' over the last couple of years in preparation for the 'downsize' on retirement... Interestingly my "tat" sold well where as hers, in general, didn't... One up for me

Toy cars [Le Mans racers in particular] and movie posters were my collectibles...

I collect trainers/shoe/pumps or what the Americans call them...... sneakers. Currently have about 100 pairs, but starting to sell some off and downsizing the collection and making a nice little profit off each one. A have one pair that can be found currently on ebay going for £2500 (not mine), but they will be kept for a rainy day.

Gonny no wear them on the golf course

Classic early 80's Adidas? The £2,500 aren't a pair of adidas columbia are they?

and I thought the wife's 30+ pairs was excessive :)

No, they are Kobe Bryant basketball shoe, limited to 250 worldwide. There were two pairs that came out in the Barcelona home and away colorway. (classic blue/red/yellow and the other pair was the Mango). Signifies Kobe's fave footie team.
I'm more of a Nike guy but do have a few pairs of Superstars and Kballs.

I became a professional photographer 12 years ago after a career in accountancy & banking. I have since collected every camera I have owned since I started with a box Brownie when I was about 8 years old. Bought them all on EBay. Only the Brownie & an Agfa Silette 35mm still work, I might buy some film one of these days & try them out.

I used to collect Guitars...... just started again, but i doubt i will have as many as before.

since getting rid of my collection in the mid 90's the prices went though the roof, so things that were perfectly affordable are now very over priced. Even the re issues of the originals i had are now 5 times what i paid for the originals back then,
