To those coming, the weather forecast is looking like a very nice 24* with a light easterly wind.

Dont forget the insect repellant as they can be in abundance here.

There are 5 of us at present as havent heard back from the 6th so if anybody out there wants to come along we have a space available.

Also, if somebody has a digital camera, bring it along, I would but soon-to-be-mrs Jon is in bournemouth on a hen-do and the camera is going with her.

Looking forward to a great day out and some good golf hopefully.

Ahh, men in shorts. Not good. Especially with black shoes. Also with the bugs and stuff (nettles and brambles are always fun in shorts).

Looking forward to it. Nice to hear we may have the weather too. Still hoping my new sticks arrive in time, otherwise I will have to play my current bats, and have no excuses.

I can bring a camera. Just need to remember it.

Who dropped out?

Good point, cream chinoe it is. With my game I will be spending lots of time in the stingy stuff.

How I wish that I could be with you lads on Saturday. By the time you have finished I should have consumed (in the interests of quality control, you understand) at least a pint or two each of Spitfire, Festival Ale, Masterbrew and Bishop's Finger - but not necessarily in that order......

And after a long weekend of Shepherd Neame quality control (hic), I have been invited to Walmer and Kingsdown for a game of golf on Monday. On the cliff top overlooking the English channel, predicted winds of 20/25 mph + gusts, I guess I will have to work hard to control my balls ;) ;)

Any advice from those from north of the border on how to play your balls low while suffering with the wind would be welcome - I understand that you all have great experience of such conditions. Could this be why I have never seen anyone playing golf whilst wearing a kilt???
