Cobra Amp Cell Driver vs Nike Covert

So went to DG range in walsall and was chatting to one of the guys there who was watching me. He advised that the driver I was using may not be stiff enough.

So I pop inside and ask to try the for mentioned Nike and Cobra.

To start both feel brilliant and was very impressed with the Nike. Getting great distances set on 10.5 and Neutral. This was a stiff shaft as they had no reg shafts. I start with a cobra reg shaft to next, it was like driving a feather. So light but the feel and connection of the tee were superb! But I tried the Stiff shaft and boy that was even better. Couldn't believe the distance.

Now I have been havin issues with my old Nike Machspeed 11.5 Degree and using the Cobra just felt so comfortable.

I opted for the cobra however would never be put off with the covert as it was a fantastic club! Averaged the same distances as the cobra.

Finally the price.... Both of them £159 with current 20% of everything so all in all a happy golfer!

Just hope it performs next weekend!

Cobra make superb drivers.

Sorely tempted to change to an Amp cell from my Encore after having a bash with one of the blue coloured ones last week.....beautiful.

My bag Is more less the same... Full of cobra gear! Cannot wait to try it next week!

Never liked their Irons or Wedges but the Woods have always been decent. After yet another woeful display of driving the other day I might finally be saying goodbye to my 910D2. Will give the cobra a go for sure

I will second that, I bought the original AMP driver. It was my first new purchase for a while. I was hitting it well but soon out grew the shaft and settings. Opted for the AMP cell around 2 months ago... and I have never looked back. Well only to see how far I drove the ball.

Getting better consistency and extra distance. Now rocking the 9.5 Draw setting. As they say.. Whats Your Fly.
