Clubs stolen NW just beware.....

A friend of mine had his clubs nicked from his car when it was parked overnight. His insurance company wouldn't pay out, as they had an exclusion clause for this case. Also if you leave them uncovered in a hatch back or estate car a similar exclusion clause often applies. I had my clubs nicked from my car a couple of years ago, which apart from anything else caused six hundred pounds worth of damage to the car as the thieves smashed the back window to get at them. Personally I would bring back hanging for club thieves!

They parked in the carpark where we parked when you came down for a knock, the course was very busy so they had to park further down away from the cafe so i think they were sat in their vehicle just waiting coz as ive said 1 of the lads clubs where in his boot out of sight.
easy to get a quick getaway as well with the road network there,pm me for a knock at my place.

The worst thing is that these low life scum dont know what they have and probably sell a £1000 set for one heroin fix

This is quite simple just make sure your clubs are never out of your view at your GC, never leave them outside or unattended in the locker room when you go to the bar or anywhere in the club for that that matter. When I finish my game my clubs go straight in the car boot before I go to the bar, if they are in view in your car ie hatchback make sure they are covered.I work on security and it never fails to amaze me how complacent people are about these things .

So you NEVER leave your clubs unattended, but put them in your boot and walk away from your car. Its one or the other.

I understand you cover them but as the OP said one of his friends had theirs in a Saloon so obviously covered but they still got nicked. Best thing is to leave the bags in full view of where you are sat, if you cant see them, make sure one of your party can see them. And park closer to the club house if possible, more chance of people passing your car so less chance of things being broken into.

At the end of the day if somebody wants something bad enough they will take it no matter what you do. And its not normally heroin addicts who take these, its usually petty criminals who know people who will buy them. Heroin addicts wouldn't spend the time hanging round, they would just go to the local shops or rob houses they find it much easier with less chance of being caught.

Hope you manage to get the stuff back, try local cash convertors etc and look in supermarkets for clubs for sale.

The clubs were obviously in view or they would not have been stolen, do you really think a thief is going to try and steal something they cant see .

2 where from a hatchback which were on show and the other was from a saloon which were in the boot .

Obviously you didnt read this in the OP or don't understand what a Saloon is. Just to clarify a Saloon is a car with a boot that is not a hatchback or estate. The boot is covered by the boot lid not a parcel shelf or cover, therefore if the clubs are in it they are OUT OF SIGHT.

Phew this is hard work, why cant people just accept they made a mistake.:ears:

No its not, its a car with a bar in the that serves whiskey

Feel gutted took our society to my course (Northwest National,Rainford)coz i had to finish in time to get to work and its local,i had to get off before last group finished and got phone call saying 2 cars had been broken into and 3 sets of clubs had been stolen:(

2 where from a hatchback which were on show and the other was from a saloon which were in the boot so the robbing little scroats must have been parked up watching and waiting then made their move while mates were in the club house.

1 says he is covered on his insurance but the other 2 aint and i just feel so gutted for them but all the lads are rallying around and making a little mix n match of gear so they can at least play in the meantime so just a warning to everyone to be vigilant around this area..

Yeah 2 sets were on show but the other set was in a boot so couldnt be seen at all, even i know an opportunist thief wouldnt risk breaking into a car boot and risk being caught if he wasnt sure something was in there worth taken so they must have been sat in the carpark waiting so it wouldnt have mattered if clubs were on show or not to be honest.
