Clubs In The Bag

Hi

Because I'm a beginner to the game I found the bag a bit heavy today so I thought I should half the amount of clubs I use. Here are my questions. Can I use any club I like to tee off as I do not like the driver at the moment on the par 4 and 5s? Today on my first 9 hole at a professional course I found the 4 iron a good one teeing off. I like the 7 8 and 9 and the pitcher and obviously putter. But the big boys (drivers etc)I am not so good with so far. Any recommendations would be appreciated so I can beat my pòor score of 70 today significantly. Thanks in advance.

You can tee off with any club you like, even the putter. Just try to make sure you find the fairway, don't worry about how far you hit it.
