What is the difference between the following titles of clubs:

Tour TP
TP
Tour
Regular

I have seen these listed with lots of the manufacturers and a friend told me it is to do with sweet spot of the club?!

Want to buy the RBZ fairway but not sure what one is right for
me.

TP normally means Tour Preferred so it would be odd to be Tour TP.
I'm sure that Tour often means that there is an offset to the head. Could be wrong though.

As far as I know Tour and TP are used interchangeably by the manufacturers.

They are all just variations on a theme. Generally speaking, you have the 'regular' range of clubs then what might be termed a 'better player' range of clubs that might have better or stiffer shafts, slightly smaller heads and less offset. Possibly stronger lofts as well. All of these clubs may be referred to as tour or tour preferred.

Just depends what each manufacturer wants to call them.

They're basically there to make us think we're using the same clubs that are used on Tour - mostly we're not.....

Generally "Tour" or "Tour Preferred" (TM's version) signifies clubs aimed at the better player but when you get Donnay/Dunlop/Fazer kit with Tour on the end you have to wonder.....

And there's no such thing as a "regular" anything in Golf...

Cool thanks, so for me and my large handicap I should stick to the "regular" specs? or will I lose anything by not specing up?

All those labels are marketing drivel and shoul generally be ignored. However, as much as I detest the TM Marketing machine, they've at least been pretty consistent with a couple of their labels - the TP models (a label that my now have been dropped) tend to have more shaft options. The 'Tour' model seems to be aimed at the 'better' player, for whom forgiveness is not the major consideration. In the RBZ 3-wood line the Tour is a different, smaller head!

As for what you should be looking for to suit your game? As with most things in golf - it all depends! However, tht's a pretty reasonable setup you have in your sig! Just get that 5-iron fixed!
