For me its a 56 hippo wedge that I got a bizarre eagle with at Seckford Hall near Ipswich,70 yards for my third and it plopped straight in the hole. For some reason all my gear apart from my play set is sold but this wedge always gets a reprieve :) .

What if you find a better wedge? One miraculous (dare I say 'fluke') shot wouldn't save a club for me if I thought a different one would improve my game.

mine is my hybrid, a titleist 909H 17*.

made the odd par 5 in two with this bad boy, it always makes me smile when i catch it true.

slazenger 5 wood. purchased four years ago for £20. its just a wee performer. ive tried other peoples 5 woods but i know the club inside out and what i can and cant do with it. thats a lot more important than a new shiney in the bag. its outlasted two 3 woods and a hybrid.

Tanaka 1 Iron from when i was about 14, looks like a DCI1 iron, and goes well, i still think i played my best ever shot with it on a local 9 hole, cannot and will not ever get rid of , even though i dont use it.

350 yard par4, hit a nice soft draw around the tree thats in the middle of the f/way leaving an easy 9iron and 2 putts for a par, was my first par on a decent length hole too. at that point i was HOOKED!

it was a thing of beauty and grace,.

? You must have played out of your skin each time???? To clarify.....Surely you must have been docked shots after each win?

more or less, i started the season off 19 which i had stuck at despite playing in almost every qualifier for 2 years, and then came down to 10 in about 4 months... one of the comps was a knock out so no shots taken off for that, and two of the others were aggregate comps - i.e. 3 best medals + 3 best stablefords and the other was for points awarded for winning other comps... at prizegiving no one mentioned the term bandit, not within earshot anyway...
