My summer shoes (Adidas) are white, or rather, they were. The top surface is that nylon weave material used in trainers these days. Should i just Chuck them in the washing machine or is there a better way of getting the worst of the grubbiness out?

I think it depends on the material and the treatment. Some have waterproofing that can be affected by washing. Also, the material may not react well to washing and may go out of shape, and the temperature of the wash will also have an impact. I would say that if you do it, just be prepared that it may not work.

I got some ADIZERO summer shoes with that mesh sort of weave material on. I have put them through the washing machine before. I actually put each shoe serperatly inside a big towel and then put them in on a low temp wash. I find the towel actually has a scrubbing action on them and get trainers cleaner.

But it is your risk if you do it, I don't want someone angry with me because I told them to put h their shoes in the washing machine.
