Clattenburg cleared by FA

Blinking discrace how long this has taken.
Graham poll said the day after it happened it would all have been heard by his assistants.
Why has it taken so long?
He needs an apology, and needs to start refereeing again straight away.

I think Chelsea didnt help themselves with their statement either

"Chelsea Football Club accepts the Football Association's decision regarding Mark Clattenburg and welcomes the fact that the FA recognises the club and players were correct in reporting the matter.

Wher i agree totaly with their other statement of

"Chelsea FC has a duty of care, as do all employers, to act responsibly when such allegations are reported by employees. We did not take the decision to lodge a formal complaint with the FA lightly and followed the correct processes and protocols throughout."

I do believe they went about it the wrong way ..

Every thing about this was wrong especialy the Society of BLACK Lawyers reporting a racist incident to the police ..

Anybody else get the irony / double standard in that ?

Exactly the point I was trying to make.

Throughout this whole investigation, the FA have once again shown how outdated and how far behind the times they are as an establishment.

This could've and should've been sorted out within 1 week of the allegation being reported. How Chelsea reported it was very poor but they still had to report it and hopefully they've learnt for any future incidents.

The FA are a joke imo and it definitely needs a massive overhaul in how it deals with hearings/ investigations.

I hate doing it but generally agree with StuC :), and also Essex Stu.

Believe me I hate Chelsea with a vengeance and lots of what the club now stands for, although used to admire them and some of their fans in the 80's/90's.

However, everyone would have given them stick if they hadn't reported it. Don't get me wrong, the timing was bad, the should have investigated it more before releasing their statement, to check certain things more and it also not looking like sour grapes.

The FA are a joke and have always been. Also, why aren't they sticking up for English fans and asking UEFA to ban both Roman (and Napoli) for repeated, targetted attacks on English fans over the last 10 years.
Someone, always has to die before action is taken.
