I got to wondering about clubs, balls,
Are there any modern clubs, balls that are now or will become classic`s or cult items and worth collecting.
Only I was digging around in the back of my garage and found my old Persimmon Mizuno Driver ltd edition, cant remember the exact model, probably worthless.
We have a secondhand shop near me and I always have a dig around the old clubs, It is suprising the number of clubs in there that I have never heard of and some that I have and bring a smile to my face, So any old favourites out there that bring back good or bad memory`s. :D

Got a persimmon dunlop driver at home. Still use it once in a while but a different world to todays clubs. Of the modern equipment I guess cavity backs will be remembered as a cult designed to help more player play the game.

There are a few things still out there which are iconic such as the Ping Anser putter shape that inspired so many copies in the 80's and onwards

I had until recently a Callaway H2S2 driver, which really pioneered the metal headed fad. It was superceded by the first big bertha, which of course, now looks a bit small.

The proV will hit iconic status, much like the Penfold commando and the Slazenger B51, but it will never be worth anything.

Proberly Pro V's will be collectable soon with the new range that there bringing out in Jan?

hardly likely, there are thousands out there and you can find them around any course any day of the week.

a donnay now - who uses those

The Ping anser, remember having to save for one those in the early 80`s, so bought a copy made by Bronty, until I could afford the £40 for one, Forgot about B51`s, but used plenty of Penfold commando`s in the late 70`s early 80`s on the local pitch n putt.
Still got My 1st Odyssey Putter a Rosie dual force 2 mallett as used By Nick Faldo,I will have to take it out and try it not used it since the late 90`s.

Have a few persimmon woods at home including what appears to be an early mizuono 4 wood.

Also have whats left of the first sets of irons i and my brother purchased second hand including wilson and greentree sombrero irons.
