under no circumstances is there any hatred coming from my side mate, the guy had hard time & has come back from it all to win a major .. great stuff.. im not saying anything bad about Darren . im just sayin i have heard from people who have had dealings with the man professionaly AWAY from the course & there is credence in what murph says ..

Put in another way,would Darren care what anyone thinks about him,who hes not close to.
The same as anyone else on here,as long as your mates and family care.
Some say hes miserable,so what,we all are at times.
I think if he is in with a shout on the final day in a major down the line having been there and done it,yes he could win again,imo.

At least we're back on track now.

The post wasn't looking to slate Clarke - it was simply about the fact that now he's won a major he going to be able to play in all of them for the next 5 years at least and this should give hime more opportunities.

Also as he knows he can win a major now - I think we may see him come close in the next few years. Don't know if he will win another one but I think he should gain a lot of confidence from his majestic performance round St Georges. We all know that this stupid game that we play is all about confidence and having a reasonable swing !!!!!!!

At the end of the day it was another Euorpean tour winner, a Brit at that and another from Northern Ireland. Does it matter what he's like away from the course now he's won and won well. Anyone can have a bad day but being in the public eye its more likely that passers by will see him as a grumpy old goat and remember that rather than catching him on a normal day where he may be a different persona completely
