Specifically:

Sale by description.

(1):Where there is a contract for the sale of goods by description, there is an implied that the goods will correspond with the description.

This obviously relates to the seller and his/her/its description of a product intended for sale.

To use a golfing example: If (Insert reputable retailer) were to sell practice Titleist Pro V1's, the goods would have to supplied as described. Would this apply to "refinished" balls also?

In short would they have to be refinished Pro V's rather than a repainted NXT?

This post is nothing to do with golf.

My In-laws have brought something from a reputable retailer that "appears" to have been altered to appear as a superior model.

Just curious to peoples experiences/advice on the subject

Take it back and ask.

If that guy can get American golf to exchange a golf club on the basis bag chatter caused paint to wear. I'm sure who ever you bought it from will have an answer
