Yesterday 19[SUP]th[/SUP] December; our society annual Christmas golf outing. Six 4 ball Texas scramble teams and Christmas dinner. Every person brings a gift wrapped present. I bought a bottle of Glenfiddich with nice gift bottle bag. Then left it at home on the kitchen work top, so I bought woolly hat from the pro shop when I arrived at the course
Solid driving rain for whole of game on frozen ground. Sliding round like Robin Cousins. Ground almost too hard to put tee pegs in. Temporary greens like ice rinks.
We were a man down, team of 3, so they gave us extra 5 shots. Big mistake; they whinged like stuck pigs when we came in with a net 55.6 to win the event. Not yet decided how to spend my £7.33p winnings.
Plus; I now have a nice bottle of Glenfiddich.
