been plagued with chipping yips for years the mates even nickname me chipper Ive had a lesson but on the course I just cant handle it handicap is 10 but try as I might, my percentage ratio is one out of 10 chips, any solutions thinking of going back to lawn bowls again not lol :(

I used to have similar issue's,i'm not the greatest chipper by any means, but i can get up and down most of the time.I use a very strong grip, push the hands forward, and play the ball off the back foot.It can look a bit wooden and robotic, but it stops the wrists from causing problems.

try a Cleveland Niblick, and use a putting stroke on it.If you can't do that then take up bowls again!
Its a seriously easy club to use,the 49 degree is the most versatile.

Welcome to the forum and sorry to read of your plight.

I am sure Bob will help but until he appears I know of one club pro who chips cack handed and finds it works for him as someone else suggested. I am sure there is a cure out there and i hope that you find it!

That's what I do, although the wrists still breakdown sometimes. I make sure I don't hang around, get the shot over with as quickly as possible. I play a chip and run with my wedge and it still only gets a few inches off the ground. In the old days, pre yips I used a 7 iron, and hit it higher. I also putt from off the green if I can get away with it. Probably why I like links golf so much, and struggle round the greens on parkland courses.

Strangely have no problems out of bunkers, but it is probably because it is a fuller swing.

Tried left hand below right, which worked for a while, but the old shanks came back.:(

fresh airs, fat shots, burying the ball and worst of all thinning it for about 30 yards through its painful, alright when i can putt from distance but worse in wet and rough grass conditions
