No wonder the country is bankrupt. All the money is in Cheshire. LT mentioned about me drivin down a road called leycester rd in Knutsford. . Who lives in houses like that. I saw an house with a garage bigger than my house. No doubt filled with classic ferraris jags and austin allegros. Some of the pubs are the best ave seen in the country. Its like being back in the 70's, there are slim people living here.
There canals everywhere. People live on boats. Do they know its 2017. Where do they park there cars. Stunning county that is beautiful and stinking rich. Apart from parts of Congleton that is twinned with Mansfield.

Visited a house backing on to Wentworth several years ago. Their dining room had a 12 seater table in it, and still room to play 5-a-side. Their dining kitchen was half the size of my current house, which isn't small.

It was a park and ride from their front door to their lounge.

There's rich people, and then there's RICH people.

If you are still around today then a trip to Prestbury is also an eye opener. Sweet little village, quaint coffee shops and pubs. Home to many of the city and Utd players. Not hard to see why when you walk around

Those footie players you speak of are not popular in the village. They buy up the chocolate box houses, smash them down, and rebuild unique monster houses. some even dig down and build swimming pools / cinema rooms / whatever UNDERNEATH the house as they are not allowed to build more than two stories.

Also, I was chatting with the lads in the clubhouse on Sunday and the talk turned to cars. One has a Merc and was in the Merc dealership in Macclesfield having his brake discs done in the week. He told an amazing story of how the sales staff cannot keep up with the amount of cars currently being sold. He lost count of how many brand new cars that left the dealership that afternoon! New customers were being given coffee and cakes whilst they WAITED FOR A SALES PERSON TO BE AVAILABLE !!!!!!! Incredible !!!!
It's just up the road from me, I must pop up there and see if they do HP.

There was some serious demolition work going on by the 10 th tee when we played there two weeks ago, house next door is a fair size !!

Such is the way CF. They want a luxury house with modern trimmings and the lovely old houses can't offer that. The streets I sent Tashy to in Knutsford have a mixture of older large houses and ones that you have described. Many are quite stunning to be fair, they are not all chavvy with lion statues at the gates. Modern architecture has its place when done well.

I live near Crewe. Do I count?

Mate, I think you know the answer, ha ha. At least you have the honour of the RR being built in your town before they head off to the rest of the county.

On the subject of cars Knutsford has the following car dealers, McLaren, Tesla, Rolls Royce, Range Rover, Bentley. I'm sure there will be somewhere in Surrey or Berkshire that can match or outdo that list but it is still pretty impressive. Knutsford is the focal point but not necessarily where the cars end up. The surrounding villages are where the bigger money lies.

Well ave just come back from poundland and am back in shillingsville.

Had a drive back through knutsford and saw a bit of road rage on the high street. Funny thing was we were heading to Macclesfield Buxton etc and coming outta Knutsford the same two guys were at it at the side of the road. Let's feel the love guys. Put some proper miles in on the roads and canal paths.
lovely weekend.
