Cheap waterproofs

Fellow forummers,

My birthday (19th....... ) is fast approaching and I've asked the wife for a set of waterproofs.

Now, money's a bit tight so Galvin Greens, etc are out of the question.

Can anyone recommend a set of cheap waterproofs - say, between £100 and £150?

I'm no brand snob so if you've got a set that are made by an unfashionable brand and you rate them highly then speak up!

I bought my last set from M&S 10 years ago and they have been fantastic

I have dropped big hints to mrs sev112 that i want some of these for my birthday next month

i just bought a nike storm-fit suit for 70quid direct golf store priced matched it for me, not tested it in the rain yet but keeps wind out nicely, and allows free movement,

Pro quip tour flex for me too! Looks and performs great. It doesnt restrict you when your swinging either.

I can also recommend the nike storm fit suit. Have had it almost a year and with living in N.ireland ive had plenty of use for it! Great for the price as i also couldnt afford the Galvin green gear.

Anyone with the tour flex advise how they come up, are they on the small size like Galvins? or a bit more generous for those of us who may have overconsumed a little?

Do what I did. Shop around on the bay, and you'll come up with a really good Pro-Quip suit for "peanuts".

I got a callway suit couple years ago, Think the RRP was 'meant' to be about #180 for both trousers and jacket.

I paid 99 quid for both. This was from a discount golf shop.

It has been a fantastic bit of kit and with lots of wear, still looks brand new.
