Further to Judith Chalmers post, sorry Tashyboy ? and Global Warming, Prince Charles has and probably still is a hypocrite.
He started preaching about this in 1990 as I recall, and yet was still driving his gas guzzling Aston Martin. Even today his carbon footprint is enormous with various different styles of travelling.
Certainly a case of “do as I say and not what I do”
Thoughts me ducks ??

Cheese & wine, who'd have thought it?

Why pick on just one person? Most of the ‘celebrities’ who preach to us have a much bigger carbon footprint than the average town - Bono with his 50 trucks to carry the U2 stage around, Sir Lewis with his private jet, I could go on…..

Didn't he sell that jet 3 years ago?

He isn't a bit of a hypocrite, he is a huge one. He has lived a live of excess and privilege, he has one of the biggest carbon footprints in the country. His house is excessive, needing more energy to run it than is necessary for 2 people. He flies frequently, rarely on standard aircraft, he drives, or is driven, around the country in fuel heavy cars (one converted Aston doesn't make him green ?).

Ah but but but it's his job ?. Mmmmm, cop out. If he wants to follow through with his statements then do it. So far, any minor changes are window dressing and his life of excess continues.

I think as we see the likes of EV super cars, they will become the “ in “ thing and people like Lewis would be first to drive the new EV AMG all singing and dancing. This will eventually flow through the Celebs who arguably have the biggest footprint motoring wise.

A hybrid range is better, but if Range Rover pushed a decent spec high end full EV version I do believe it would be a success.

Which coincidently was around the last time U2 toured.
Sorry, will try and use more up to date references next time :cool:
But my sentiment is still the same, most celebrities who preach about the general public doing their bit to save the planet are hypocrites who travel the world in private jets, have multiple cars and generally pollute more than all of us.

I'm a hero of carbon footprint saving this morning.

We've a "click and collect" and I'm taking the all electric car!

It is only 5 minutes away though ??

Hypocrites are everywhere, even on forums.
