Well after a practice round as Portrush on Sunday where fellow forum member Dougie must have wondered how I ever came to be in possession of a handicap of 10, I wouldn't exactly say I was looking forward to yesterday's opening round at Castlerock However I'd obviously learned my lesson and played pretty steadily for a fairly respectable 31 points.
Could have been much better but for a few moments of madness when my plan to refrain from attempting shots well beyond my capabilities momentarily deserted me.
Anyway it's back along to Portrush today for round 2. Looks like its going to be a bit wet unfortunately but we'll see how it goes.
