Was helping in a 4BBB Comp yesterday and it went to a card play off with back 9 /6/3 and then front 9 back 6 when the winner was found.

What would have happened if the front 9 back 3 had been equal and to take this on step further what would have happened if every score on each hole had been equal?

In normal singles the computer (Club2000 anyway) will by default go off back 9/6/3/1 and will then go off front 6/3/1. The software allows the committee to overide this though so each club can "do their own thing". As long as the method of resolving ties is published before the competition or in the competition policies etc there is no issue. As above, it usually ends up as a coin toss if they can't be separated.

We had one earlier this year with identical back 9's (9 x pars off 6 handicap) and the computer separated them on front 3 in the end. Never seen one closer than that.
