Wife's renewal quote from LV has come through.
The premium we get from price comparison sites isn't significantly different, maybe £8 less but we can get £45 cashback by using one of the sites.

LV won't lower their price any further so is it ok to cancel the auto renewal and buy the new pokicy through the comparison site ?

Perfectly in order. All these companies offer different online deals to renewals and telephone quotes.

Just buy it and even if they renew it (happened to me) cancel straight away for a full refund

Just cancel. All auto-renewal means is that they will renew unless you say not. So, say not.
