Gutted for you Crawford.

I was expecting Stoke to lose today to Homers beloved Fulham.............. And I'm a Stoke supporter

Mate of mine does good few bets like that , was talking to him Friday night , he has some bet running , 13 results up needed 2 more .. Man U & yep,,,,,,,,,,,,, the toffees ... his was €10 @ 150/1 .... hardest thing for him is he is an Everton fan aswell

I think ive had about 3 bets recently like this, theres just no justice! :(

Latest one was Barcelona against Celtic, it always a so called "dead cert" that seems to cock it up too!

That's why Fred and Victor live in bigger houses than us. I gave up betting a few years ago after losing £300 on 5 races at Pontefract. Mugs game IMO.

Agree totally mate. Most peoples problem is they stake too much and chase losses. If you can keep it to set amounts and go about it the right way then i reckon most people could make a profit at it.

Not strictly true, though bookies love multiple bets. It's hard enough backing 1 winner never mind 2 on the bounce.

I enjoy my racing and I love a bet but I don't bet on every race every day.

Craw, thats what you get for backing Everton :) ;)

True sir. You know what they say, Accumulators/multiples are the bookies pension fund.

£5 accumulator every Saturday, no midweek bets and I certainly don't bet on the donkeys or hounds!

I do them for similar stakes too just for fun :) Just adds a bit of tension to a Saturday afternoon even if the odds are weighted heavily in the bookies favour.

If you only bet what you can afford whats the issue - every time you give money to someone else for a service of some kind its adding to their pension fund!

Theres no issue, never said there was.

A bookmakers income/profit can fluctuate from day to day but the one solid state of income they have is accumulators. They will always make healthy money from them hence they are known as the bookies pension fund.
