So I go into Asda with my daughter. She gets her shopping and also gets two packs of Calpol for the two grandkids, not that their Ill just in case she needs it.

Get to the till and she’s only allowed to get one packet at a time. On the adjacent till this guy is running through enough drink to kill everyone in sight.

What is this all about.

No more than "x" amount of Paracetamol can be bought at any one time unless authorised by the Pharmacist.

Nothing to stop you going round 3 times and buying some each time. Lets face it, a pack of 24 is enough to do some serious damage so I can't really see the logic behind it.

Just stupid it is.

My sister has been stopped too but she was buying infant calpol and calpol for kids aged six upwards (I think) as there is a five year age gap between them. Both of the kids were ill at the same time (not surprising) so she just went round the shop again but the checkout assistant who served her the first time shouted over and tried to stop her again so it was very embarrassing.

This was in Dundee though where she has now stayed for many years, so I reckon she has now engrained herself with the local society and was actually just actually trying to steal it

It's a well known fact that a child that has had too much Calpol will vandalise any bus stop, phone box or car wing mirror that they find. Vomiting is an option and fighting is practically encouraged.

Alcohol on the other hand is good for your heart
